It was a Sunday morning in the late 70's when a panicked mother was told her son was not in the church nursery. The woman insisted she had dropped her son John off before service, but the kindly nursery workers informed her that there was no John. She pointed to a small, curly headed boy and told the nursery workers that was her son. "Oh," said the nursery worker, "You mean Luke. Are you Mrs. Skywalker?" Like many children of his generation, John Cosper's love of sci-fi, movies, and storytelling began with Star Wars. But while he was unsuccessful at becoming the heir to Anakin Skywalker, he did grow up to become a prolific writer with a passion for expressing his Christian faith through drama, film, and fiction. After becoming the leader of his church's youth drama team (against his will) he founded Righteous Insanity, a drama ministry that expanded to include a custom writing service and film production. His credits include the award winning skit "Wicked Ruler," the award-winning short films "Bots" and "Tolerance," and the feature film "Wingman." John is also a published science fiction and fantasy writer with several books and short stories to his credit. He's the creator of the sci-fi film series Fluffy and the producer of the Clive the Zombie puppet films. His work in the sci-fi/fantasy realm echoes his favorite writers, Douglas Adams and Philip K. Dick. His stories reflect a Christian worldview without becoming preachy and often filled with humor. John still collects Star Wars toys, comic books, and cheesy sci-fi B-movies from the 50's through the 80's. He lives in Southern Indiana with his wife and children. His kids are already Star Wars fans, but neither one of them has attempted to change their name to Skywalker... yet. Need a Writer?
