Meet John Cosper
John Cosper is a professional writer with fourteen years experience writing for the stage and screen. He began writing dramas for his church as a freshman in college. Within a year he had started Righteous Insanity, a drama resource company providing scripts and writing services for ministries around the world.
John had his first script published by Lifeway in 1995. He won the 1997 Christians in Theatre Arts Dramatic Sketch Writing Contest for “Wicked Ruler”, and was a runner-up in the one act play competition for ALIENS. John has had more than 100 skits published through Lillenas, Youth Specialties, Lifeway, DramaMinistry.com, Standard Publishing, The Wittenburg Door, and more. He has over 800 scripts available through his own drama resource, Righteous Insanity. In 2007 he received an award (with Jeff Roney) for best writing of a Star Wars Audio Parody at StarWarsFanworks.com. John was also a contributing writer to the groundbreaking theatrical productions Elevator Plays and Elevator Plays 2, produced by Specific Gravity Ensemble in Louisville, Kentucky.
John is also a screenwriter, and writes material for industrial clients as well as television and film. He has written everything from radio ads to training films for Salem Radio, Kindred Healthcare, Chik-Fil-A, and more. He has also written for television shows for Smile of a Child TV and Daystar Television. He has worked with a number of film producers and entertainment companies including Top Secret Productions, Florence Productions, Uplifting Entertainment, and Simplified Entertainment. And in his spare time, he also writes science fiction.
John currently works as the drama director at private high school in New Albany, Indiana. When he’s not writing or directing a play, he spends his time with his wife Jessica, his daughter Lydia, and their friends and family.
